After a leisurely breakfast, we depart for a comprehensive Kigali City Tour. We visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial, a deeply moving site that honors the country's journey toward peace.

Furthermore, we explore local artisan markets and the vibrant suburbs. You will see firsthand why Kigali is celebrated as Africa’s cleanest city. We return to Kigali Serena Hotel for a delicious dinner and a restful overnight stay.

Scenic Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park

Today, we head southwest toward Nyungwe Forest National Park. The drive is incredibly scenic, winding through rolling hills and terraced tea plantations.

As a result of the elevation, the air becomes crisp and refreshing as we approach the forest. We arrive at One&Only Nyungwe House, an architectural marvel nestled within a working tea estate. Spend your evening sipping local tea while watching the mist settle over the canopy.

Chimpanzee Trekking Experience

Early this morning, we enter the deep forest to find our closest relatives: the Chimpanzees. You will hear their boisterous hooting long before you see them swinging through the trees.

After an exhilarating trek, we return to the lodge for lunch. Later, we embark on the famous Canopy Walk, suspended 70 meters above the forest floor. This vantage point offers a bird’s-eye view of the Nyungwe biodiversity. Overnight at One&Only Nyungwe House.

Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

We bid farewell to the forest and drive north toward the majestic Virunga Mountains. This journey offers stunning views of Lake Kivu in the distance.

Eventually, we reach the foothills of Volcanoes National Park. We check into Sabyinyo Wilderness, a lodge that blends luxury with authentic volcanic stone aesthetics. Relax by the fireplace and prepare for the life-changing encounter scheduled for tomorrow.

This is the day you have been waiting for. After an early briefing at the park headquarters, we head into the jungle to find a family of Mountain Gorillas.

The Gorilla trekking Experience can be challenging, yet the reward is unparalleled. Standing in the presence of a Silverback is a spiritual experience that defies words. You will spend one unforgettable hour observing their social bonds. Afterward, we return to Sabyinyo Wilderness for a celebratory dinner.

Golden Monkeys and Departure
